Service calls
Remote monitoring and control resolve 50% of site visits without a truck (timer resets, light checks, wasted trips). The other 50% still need a truck (failed drivers, storm damage, vandalism) and are not counted.
Visit rates, crew costs and the distance between structures are typical assumptions and estimates. Replace them with your own service history and costs for an accurate figure.
Nightly light inspections
The cost of technicians driving around at night to inspect the lights.
Revenue at risk
Revenue at risk values each hour that sold timer faces stand dark between sunset and Timer ON at the hourly value of their sold, illuminated time (timer-face revenue divided by illuminated hours).
Environmental
Annual avoidable emissions
Campaign device usage
Electricity and emissions from lighting the campaign’s faces, as in the GMSF Device Usage step for physical out-of-home.
Current
With lighting aligned to sunset and sunrise
Service travel
Covers operational lighting electricity and service-vehicle travel only. It excludes production and printing, transport, embodied structure, manufacturing and end-of-life emissions, so it is not a whole-campaign carbon footprint. Grid factors are location-based averages. NOx and PM2.5 are pollution indicators, not health outcomes.
